When redeeming rewards, printing coupons or for some Discover offers, MyPoints requires mobile verification. This registers your mobile device phone number to your account.
This verification only works with contracted mobile devices. If you try to verify with a landline number or prepaid device, it will not work.
The verification connects your mobile device’s phone number to your account. Once a mobile number has been connected to a MyPoints account, it cannot be used for another MyPoints account.
If you get a new mobile phone number, you must contact our Member Services team to update the number connected to your account.
This is to protect your account from hackers, etc.
To initiate updating the phone number connected to your account, submit a Customer Service request via this form.
Select “My Account (Verification, Email Change, Forgot Password, Login, Inactive)” for the request type.
Enter the email address you use to log into MyPoints and for the topic, subject and activity name, type “Update Mobile Number.”
You will be asked to provide verification of your identity to protect your account from unauthorized takeover. Please be ready to provide an image of government-issued ID such as a Driver’s License, passport, etc.
This process is handled via our Compliance Team and may take up to 10 business days for a response.
