Friday Round-Up: Doom and Gloom Edition

No-one likes to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately there’s too much to ignore.

Another day, another data hack. Were you one of the more than 105 million consumers who applied for Capital One credit products between 2005 and early 2019? If so, this Money Crashers post has tips for dealing with the fallout of the Capital One data breach.

Last week, we included a story about the Sprint/T-Mobile merger, but this week that deal is on shaky ground with 14 states working to block it according to Endgadget.

As the “retail apocalypse” continues unabated, another casualty is the concept of the “flagship store,” according to USA Today. “Rents have swelled so much, however, that many retailers can no longer justify the high price, especially as more shoppers shift their spending online and physical stores lose foot traffic.”
