Rewarding Moments: June 3, 2021

This week’s Rewarding Moment comes from SJ Ritter who joined MyPoints in March 2018 via an internet article touting the best survey websites.

Her favorite way to earn (no surprise!) is completing surveys.

This is her story:

“My husband and I live in New York City, one of the areas most affected by the pandemic especially early on.

The NY State governor’s recent announcement of partially lifting the State’s mask mandate marked a notable milestone with respect to how far we have come to overcome the pandemic.

Before anyone ever imagined the possibility of a global pandemic, both my husband and I decided to retire and pursue our dream of visiting our family and friends in various parts of the world beginning in 2020, which was put on hold.

Looking back on the past 15 months, I’d like to share my story of how MyPoints helped keep my family and friends safe by allowing me to use the Points to acquire supplies to make dozens of masks during one of the most trying events in recent history.

Shortly after the statewide lockdown order, I began making masks for my family and friends using my husband’s old dress shirts to abate the mask shortage.

I didn’t have a sewing machine, and I spent hours every day sewing masks by hand. Words soon spread among our acquaintances, and I was soon making dozens of masks, many of which were sent to friends and family abroad.

As a result, I was constantly running out of supplies, and the Points I earned from MyPoints proved to be invaluable in purchasing fabric, thread, and elastic bands. Throughout the pandemic, MyPoints was a steadfast companion that helped us keep our family and friends safe.

Thank you with all my heart.”

Thanks for sharing your story, SJ! We’re so happy to have helped our members through these trying times and are looking forward to better days ahead. In appreciation, we’ve added 1,500 Points to your account.
