This week’s Rewarding Moment comes from Carrie Sherman who joined MyPoints in February 2005.
Her favorite way to earn: “The easiest way for me to earn My Points is through shopping, although I spend time daily completing surveys, watching videos, reading Bonus Mail, and whatever other opportunities are offered (including Bingo and the 7 Day Challenge).
I purchase gift cards for businesses that I would be shopping at anyway. My dog needs a specialized prescription eye medicine that costs me $70/month. I buy a gift card for the company that offers it online, which is also a company that offers Points for purchases (win-win).”
This is her story:
“I have used MyPoints for so many things. I usually earn a $100 gift card every 6-8 weeks.
Recently I have been saving to purchase a sectional sofa on Amazon. I will have saved close to $1,000 for that purchase, which means that I will not have spent any money directly out of my pocket.
My first unlocked iPhone was purchased at Amazon totally with MyPoints. I also have purchased a laptop, Kindle Fire Tablet, DVDs, books, clothes, gifts, a vacuum cleaner and carpet shampooer, jewelry, and much more.
The greatest time that MyPoints enhanced my life was at a time when my husband had brain surgery and we couldn’t work for over a year (no income except things we sold on eBay). I traded MyPoints for nice restaurants like Olive garden, Red Lobster, Longhorn’s Steak House, Applebees, Cracker Barrel, and more every week!
Even though we didn’t have any money, we didn’t feel poor because we got to go out somewhere nice and enjoy a special dinner every week. We also used MyPoints to purchase household items, prescriptions and groceries at Walmart.
Over these past years there have been so many rewarding moments, I wouldn’t know which one has been the best. It’s just been great to get things that I want or need without spending money from my budget to have.”
