This is her story:
[My] Most rewarding moment was when I traded some points in for a $10 Visa credit just before my birthday last year.
I decided it was time to give back, and I created a fundraiser on Facebook for a dear friend from college who is living with ALS.
He is an extraordinary artist with an equally extraordinary family. He lives home with wife and 24/7 nursing staff, has no control over any voluntary muscles except focusing a digital bindi dot on his forehead toward a connected computer screen on an overhead rig.
This is how he communicates and creates amazing digital artwork.
From that $10 start to my fundraiser, I raised over $1,000 from my very small “friends” network. Facebook matched the donation.
It was such a special birthday for me, to be able to help Tucker Stilley through the Cohort of Disembodied Artists (the name of his non-profit charitable organization).”
