“When I graduated from Law School in 1996, I gave “My Bike Fat Greek Father” a gift – a round-trip ticket from San Francisco, California to Athens, Greece – using Frequent Flyer miles.
My graduation was a big deal in my family being the first generation to graduate from university. I wanted to give back to my dad who had motivated me to reach for the stars and to finish that major accomplishment.
I made a promise to him then to send him to Greece every summer.
I joined MyPoints in January of 2006 after reading an advertisement on United.com as a great way to earn frequent flyer miles. It was so easy to earn extra miles through everyday purchases … and I’ve been addicted ever since.
I’ve been with MyPoints for more than 15 years (since January 2006) and as of the writing of this blog, I have almost reached a total of 100,000 Points earned.
I’m proud to report that I’ve made good on my promise to send him to Greece once a year – all by using Frequent Flyer Miles. And MyPoints has helped me tremendously to meet this goal. Thank you MyPoints.”
