Tuesday Tips: What are Delayed Payout Surveys?

Delayed payout surveys are those in which Points crediting may be delayed rather than awarding immediately upon completion.

There are two reasons for the award delay:

  1. Surveys which are conducted in two parts–for example, Home Usage Test (HUT) surveys where part of the study is conducted after the panel member receives and tests a product. In this case, the award is delayed until the member completes both parts of the study.
  2. Survey sample data requires review by the market research team conducting the study (not MyPoints) to ensure validity. In this case, the member would be awarded when and if the survey responses were approved by the team conducting the survey.

In both cases, these delayed payout surveys are generally ones that are highly rewarding when it comes to Points offered–which is another factor influencing the delayed award credit.

Keep in mind that, while there are a growing number of survey available requiring a delayed award of Points. the majority of surveys available on MyPoints award credit immediately when successfully completed.
