Rewarding Moments: February 3, 2022

This week’s Rewarding Moment comes from Linda Brounstein who joined MyPoints via a work colleague’s recommendation in March 2003.

Her favorite ways to earn are surveys and Magic Receipts.

This is her story:

“I am a senior on a limited budget. My 45 pound rescue dog is now 9 years old.

We adopted her in 2016 after losing our previous rescue dog to cancer. She weighed 29 pounds and according to her foster mom, she was a slow eater and a “projectile vomiter.”

After about a year she developed seizures and needed anti-seizure medication which unfortunately has an adverse effect on the liver and so she needs to have lab work done at the vet every 4 months. During a checkup she was diagnosed with urinary crystals which can develop into bladder stones which would require surgical removal.

Therefore, she was placed on prescription dog food in the hopes of keeping the crystals at bay so stones do not form. The food is very expensive.

Fortunately, our dog loves this food, and although the crystals are still evident in her lab results, at this point our vet has not advised that surgery is indicated.

I’m very anxious about every lab result and pray that the crystals do not increase to form stones. I try my best to accumulate sufficient MyPoints to redeem for a gift card which I use to purchase this food. The gift card helps me so much and so I thank you and so does my “sweetie pie”.”

Thank you for sharing your story, Linda and for taking such good care of your “sweetie pie.” In appreciation, we’ve added 1,500 Points to your account.
