Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter or margarine (earn 3 Points)
- 1 large onion, peeled and thinly sliced (earn 3 Points)
- 1/2 tsp Weber® Gourmet Burger® Seasoning (earn up to 425 Points)
- 1/2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 1/2 lb ground beef (earn 3 Points)
- 1 1/2 tbsp Weber® Gourmet Burger® Seasoning (earn up to 425 Points)
- 4 slice cheddar cheese (earn 3 Points)
- 8 slice crisp bacon
- Sliced jalapeños, optional
- 4 hamburger buns
- Weber® Smoky & Thick Hickory BBQ Sauce
Directions
- Melt butter in large skillet. Add onion and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 12 to 15 minutes until onions are lightly brown.
- Add ½ teaspoon seasoning and brown sugar and continue to cook 5 minutes until onions are well browned. Set aside.
- Gently shape ground beef into four 5-inch patties. Sprinkle 1 ½ tablespoons seasoning over both sides of burgers.
- Grill burgers over direct medium heat (350° to 450°F) with the lid closed as much as possible, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F for medium, 12 to 15 minutes, turning once.
- During the last minute of cooking, top with cheese.
- To serve, place burgers on hamburger bun. Top with bacon, caramelized onions and jalapeños if desired.
- Serve with plenty of barbeque sauce!
