MyPoints has had many giveaways over the years and this week’s Rewarding Moments comes from one of our 12 Days of Giveaways winners, Paul Madau, member since 2008.
Here is his story:
“I was first made aware of MyPoints by a friend of mine one night at karaoke. We were talking about survey sites and I had mentioned that I was about to leave another site because they were no longer offering the rewards program. She told me about MyPoints and all of its features. I signed up when I got home that evening and the rest is history.
My most rewarding moment with MyPoints came at the end of 2015 during the annual Greatest Gifts Giveaway. I was the final winner of the giveaway and won an Apple Watch, which I still wear to this day. The ironic thing about my winning is that I think I was the final entry in before the deadline (2:58am East Coast time) and of all the entries, I was chosen.
I value this prize more than any other reward that I have redeemed because I have Type 1 Diabetes, and wear a continuous glucose monitor that lets me know where my blood sugar levels are every 5 minutes without having to stick my finger and test my blood countless times a day. There is an app that can transmit that value to my phone, and then from the phone to my Apple Watch so all I have to do is look at my wrist to see where my glucose numbers are. This has helped tremendously during my sports in that I do not have to keep the main device in my pocket, only the phone with one of the referees and I can just look at my watch whenever I need to. I am thankful everyday for that prize.
