Weddings are expensive, but a number of MyPoints members have found ways to defray costs with the help of MyPoints rewards. Steven Wishnack of San Francisco, CA is no exception. Here’s his story:
“Living in San Francisco means constantly looking for any side hustle available, just to survive the cost of the city. I’m not sure how I found MyPoints, but it was a few years ago by now. (Editors note: Steven’s two year MyPoints anniversary is tomorrow!)
I just got married in April, and am still recovering from what a financial and logistical rollercoaster the experience was. At times, during the planning, we both felt so overwhelmed. We were excited to be married, but had no idea how much work a wedding would be!
Alas, thanks to MyPoints, we were able to save up hundreds in Amazon gift cards, and use that to decorate our entire reception area. From the plates, to the twinkly-light mason jars; we had disposable cameras, silverware, napkins– the whole shebang. We planted succulents in some wooden drawers we’d found on Amazon, and the entire thing cost nothing.
If I wasn’t before, I’m definitely a life-long MyPoints supporter now.”
