This week’s Rewarding Moment comes to us from Cathy Mastrangelo, member since June, 2001 (Happy MyPoints-versary, Cathy!).
This is her story:
“I have been a loyal member of MyPoints.com since 06/03/01 (going on 18 years). I honestly don’t recall how I first came to know about this site, but I can tell you the gift cards I’ve earned are well worth the efforts. Some of my personal favorites were $100 Macy’s gift cards. “
“One of my most rewarding moments, thanks to MyPoints.com, happened just last week. My Granddaughter [turned] age 6 on May 28th. I asked her what she wanted for her birthday, and she said “If I told you, then it wouldn’t be a surprise. Then she said “You know that GAP Gift card you were going to give me, well can you just put it in the mail early so I can go pick out a dress for my birthday party?”
Since it’s actually an e-Card, I told her I could email it faster, like in one minute, to her Mom. She really got excited about that, and said OK, just email it to my Mom then, which I did. I even took a few extra minutes to especially customize the card with her name, and my birthday wishes to such a special grandchild.
I had purchased it (for the bonus points) at MyGiftGardsPlus knowing how much my granddaughter loves to shop at Gap for Kids. I gave her an identical card 2 years ago, and watched in awe as she picked out 3 different outfits that she got to pay for with her actual GAP gift card. Even as young as she is, she’s already a very savvy shopper. I’m glad to be able to give her, even at this age, a gift that I know in advance is one of her favorites.
When she is old enough I will also be referring her to join MyPoints.com.”
