If you’re not sure where you want to spend your rewards, a Visa prepaid card offers a lot of options. Currently it’s a great deal: a $100 Visa prepaid card is 870 Points less than a $100 deposit to your PayPal account.
The initial process for redeeming for a Visa prepaid card, which comes in denominations of $10, $25, $50 and $100, is fairly similar to any other reward.
Once you submit for a reward, it cannot be canceled, exchanged or refunded.
Once you’ve submitted for your selected denomination, disregard the MyPoints email to claim your Visa. The actual claim link will be emailed to you from the Visa provider, Prepaid Digital Solutions. You should receive the email within 2-3 business days. If you haven’t received it by then, make sure to check your spam folder.
If this is the first time you’ve redeemed for a Prepaid Visa eCard, you will need to create an account at Prepaid Digital Solutions when you click through their email to claim your Visa. If you’ve already created an account with Prepaid Digital Solutions, you will need to log into that account.
Once you’ve created or logged into your Prepaid Digital Solutions account, enter your prepaid digital token from the email (it will pre-populate if clicked through the email) by clicking the Add Payment button in the upper left. Copy/paste your digital token from your email into the input box and click the Add button.
You will have the option to retrieve your Visa card code to shop online immediately or save the funds to your digital wallet for use later. You can even request a physical gift card to be mailed to you within 2 weeks, but there is a fee associated with that option.
Your prepaid token expires THREE months from the date it was issued and once your Visa has been claimed using the token, you have six months to use the funds. After the Visa expires, a monthly maintenance fee will be applied against the remaining funds.
Your eCard can be used for purchases online or (depending on store policy) printed out and used in-store.
