Rewarding Moments: January 2, 2020

MyPoints member Lucie Bingham and family on vacation

Sometimes the best-laid plans go awry and you just have to roll with it–and MyPoints is still there to help with Rewarding Moments like this one from member since 2000, Lucie Bingham.

Here is her story:

“I first came to MyPoints when I became a stay-at-home mom. We were looking for ways to save money.  MyPoints was one of the ways we found to get stuff for free. It was great. Over the years, I have gone back to work, but I have remained a loyal MyPoints member.

“My rewarding moment was this past year.  We worked extra jobs to be able to take a “graduation trip” out west. Both my children were graduating (high school and college). We decided to celebrate as a family and fly into Pheonix, AZ and take a road trip to San Francisco.

We were going to use our MyPoints rewards to buy the gas for that trip. I worked hard to earn enough Points to earn $150 worth of VISA cards.  We ordered and received the cards within a few weeks of the start of our trip.  They came in the mail, everything was coming together.

But, our plans were suddenly changed when we found out that my sister-in-law came into some very hard times and was having some major medical issues. We were able to send her those gift cards so she could buy groceries for her family.

We managed the trip without the gift cards fine, and were able to support a family member in need.  Thank you, MyPoints for allowing us to generously help my family in a way that didn’t hurt our budget.”

Thanks, Lucie, for sharing your story! In appreciation, we’ve added 1,500 Points to your account.
