This week’s Rewarding Moment comes from a member who is coming up on her 8 year anniversary with MyPoints. Susan Fitzpatrick joined our program in August 2012 and has used her rewards for a variety of things.
Here is her story:
“I have been doing the daily MyPoints thing for so long, that I truly do not remember how I became a member.
This has been part of my day for at least 8 years, and when I travel, I truly miss the Daily Poll and access to coupons. I am wondering if I came by MyPoints because I loved to play free games on GSN and WorldWinner. I do miss earning points for honing my game skills.
My rewards serve as a rainy day fund. I do recall that I started while I was struggling to find a new job, and at the time, the points came in handy for treating my family to dinner out when the budget was extremely tight.
I have taken care of special birthdays, graduations, anniversaries using the gift cards. Christmas was saved for my daughter one year, and when the lawnmower unexpectedly died, Home Depot gift cards helped replace it. Last year, Walmart gift cards provided gasoline to get me to and from work in between paychecks.
It is truly my rainy day fund.
Just in the past month, MyPoints paid for a road trip to adopt our newest fur baby with a trip to the drive up window for burgers to celebrate.”
