“I’ve been a MyPoints member for over 20 years.
After 15 years of widowhood, I met my now significant other online. I am in NJ, he is in California.
Though we messaged, talked on the phone and videochatted a lot, we had never met in person. We knew we had a lot in common, and that we loved each other, and were seriously considering marriage, but also knew that it isn’t a good idea to make long-term plans without actually meeting in person and spending time together.
For my 65th birthday in December, I redeemed points to top off my Airline Miles account so I could afford to fly out and meet him in person. It went great!
We clicked even better in person than we had on the phone and online, and I came back from my trip engaged! He’s moving here so we can get married and be together.
