This week’s Rewarding Moment comes from Terri Hansen, who joined MyPoints in March 2003.
Here is her story:
“I have been a happy member of MyPoints for almost 17 years. It has been so long ago when I joined, that I really don’t remember how I became a member of MyPoints. LOL. I think I was browsing on the internet and clicked on the ad for MyPoints.
I certainly am a lot more active than I was 16 years ago. I am legally blind and on disability, so MyPoints is really a big part of my entertainment.
I’ve gotten my daughter and her fiance involved in MyPoints, and we sometimes get competitive as far as who gets the most surveys completed, the most monthly bonus points, how many videos we watch…you get the picture. We get a lot of chuckles from the Daily Polls on MyPoints (who thinks of those?).
By the time I was 55, I had 2 husbands pass away. I was so depressed, sad and lonely after my 2nd husband died that his daughter got me the most beautiful companion I have ever had, a Yorkie puppy that I named Benny. He has certainly made my life very enjoyable again.
Because of the generosity of MyPoints, I have been able to get items for Benny to make his life enjoyable. MyPoints helped me get gift cards for eBay that I use to buy leashes, collars, a crate, toys (many, many toys) and clothes for Benny.
My daughter has been helping me take a monthly picture of Benny that I am going to compile into a calendar for my family and friends for Christmas. All the props were purchased with gift cards I got through MyPoints.
Because of MyPoints, I learned of Chewy.com which helps me keep Benny in food (I can’t drive, Chewy delivers) and Benny has been enrolled in BarkBox for 4 months now. Thank you so much MyPoints for adding joy to me and my baby Benny!”
