This week’s Rewarding Moment comes to us from Ann Marie Schutz who joined MyPoints almost 20 years ago!
Here is her story:
“My daughter introduced me to My Points many years ago. I’ve been a daily user ever since!
Eight years ago my daughter was married in Jamaica. Since that day, we have become very good friends with the priest who married them, Father Jim Boc at Mary Gate of Heaven church, in Negril.
With each successive trip to Negril, we became more and more involved with his Get Kids to School program, St. Anthony’s Soup Kitchen, and a small thrift shop, all of which Father Jim started over the past twelve years.
When we travel to Jamaica, my husband and I each take 1 checked bag and a carry on bag loaded to the max with summer clothes of all sizes, flip-flops, and pens, pencils, and erasers for the school program.
Last year, I found out that underwear for all ages was needed at the thrift shop. I found a great clearance sale at 3 local Walmart stores, and using My Points gift cards I was able to purchase 400 pair of underwear to take to Negril this year!”
