“My mother was killed in a car accident 22 months ago. While I had money for plane fare for me, I needed to get my daughter and son to Illinois from Virginia on a short notice flight. Some dear friends used their MyPoints to buy Southwest gift cards which we then used to pay for the flights.
It’s not a super happy moment, but it certainly meant a lot that we could get my children to the funeral and be together to mourn my wonderful mom and celebrate her life.”
