It’s Time for Another 7-Day Challenge!

Starting Friday, December 4th, members will have the opportunity to set goals for the last 7-Day Challenge of 2020!

The submission deadline is 11:59 pm PT on Monday, December 7th and the Challenge period starts at midnight on Monday, December 7th and ends at 11:59 pm PT on Sunday, December 13th.

US members can earn up to 800 Bonus Points and Canadian members can submit goals to earn up to 425 Bonus Points.

Participants are required to complete 5 items on their To-Do List for a minimum of 3 days during the Challenge period, complete at least 2 surveys and add one Magic Receipts deal to their shopping list (no purchase required).

Members can set goals above the minimum requirements for these activities in order to earn a bigger bonus.

Please note: Your Progress Tracker will only display activities completed after the start of the goal period on Monday, December 7th. Activities completed after setting goals and prior to midnight on 12/7 will not be counted towards your progress. Also, the tracker only updates once per 24 hours after the last viewing.

Once you’ve completed your goals and your Progress Tracker updates to reflect this, you can claim your Bonus immediately! You will have until 11:59 pm PT on December 18th to claim Bonus Points for completed goals.

Tuesday Tips: What Do I Do If My Account Has Been Deactivated?

If your account has been deactivated, there are a number of things that may have caused it including violation of our Terms of Service, an extended period of inactivity or prevention against possible unauthorized access.

Account deactivations are not necessarily permanent, but in order to possibly regain access to your MyPoints account, please follow this process:

  1. Submit a request via our Help Center to our Customer Service team.

  2. Choose “Compliance: Deactivation or Verification” as the request type.

  3. Once your request is submitted, please allow up to 10 days for a member of our Compliance Team to respond to your request.

  4. You may be asked to provide additional info about about recent activity to ensure it was completed in accordance with our terms.

  5. In the case possible unauthorized access is detected, you will be required to provide a scan of your government-issued ID in order to verify that you are in fact the owner of the account.

  6. Please respond to the agent’s response for information and provide all request materials in a timely manner to expedite reactivation of your account.

Why Does the Option to Upload an Everyday Receipt Keep Disappearing?

While Magic Receipts offers BIG Points for buying specific products from participating retailers, your next trip to the grocery store, drugstore or any of over 1,500 US and Canadian retailers can still be rewarding!

Many of you are earning 3 Points for every receipt you successfully upload through MyPoints Surveys. Some of you, however, may have noticed that the option to upload might disappear at times.

This is because there is a weekly cap on the number of receipts each member can receive credit for. Once you’ve hit the maximum for the week, your ability to upload additional receipts will be temporarily disabled.

Once the period resets (usually on Fridays, but could be on Mondays or later depending on holidays, etc.), you will be able to upload receipts and earn Points again.

Rewarding Moments: November 19, 2020

Some of you use your rewards for dinners out, vacations and Christmas presents. And others have more…practical applications.

Our latest Rewarding Moment comes from Rosemary Ross who joined MyPoints in 1999. Rosemary was turned on to MyPoints by a co-worker and her favorite activity is the Daily Poll, because as she puts it, “Who doesn’t love giving their opinion!”

“During the early and worst part of Covid lockdown, I had plenty of TP, but[t] my aged toilet seat cracked (it’s okay, you can laugh).

I tried to fix it with wood glue, but[t] it pinched.

Then I added duct tape, but I stuck.

Then I added waterproof packing tape.

I redeemed MyPoints for a Home Depot gift certificate to have a new one shipped to me. Now I’m sitting pretty.

All thanks to my years of using MyPoints! (and would love the extra points to replace the dripping faucet so the sound of running water doesn’t send me to… the new toilet seat! Ah, ya gotta laugh at life sometimes).”

Introducing MyPoints Magic Receipts!

MyPoints offers a number of ways for members to earn Points when they buy groceries or other household items. The most rewarding of these is In-Store Deals.

As of today, In-Store Deals will be known as “Magic Receipts.” While the name is changing, the ability to turn receipts into BIG Points remains the same.

You can access Magic Receipt offers via the Magic Receipts page on MyPoints under the Shop Menu.

In addition to earning up to 5,400 Points for purchasing things that are probably already on your shopping list like Arm & Hammer detergent, Campbell’s soup, Snapple and Triscuits, you can earn 3 Points for any receipt from over 1,500 US and Canadian retailers.

Tuesday Tips: Earn Points with Shoply’s Treasure Hunt

We’ve added a new feature and way to earn Points with our Shoply app: scanning barcodes!

The next time you’re grocery shopping, open the Shoply app to see if there are any offers available for scanning. Then go on a Treasure Hunt and earn 5 Points for each eligible product barcode you successfully scan.

Here’s how it works:

Open the Shoply app and locate the Scan menu option at the bottom of the screen:

If it’s your first time scanning, you will need to enable location services on your device for the app as well as your camera:

Once you’ve enabled GPS location services and your device’s camera, select the participating retailer you are shopping at from the list:

If you are not within two miles of a participating retailer with active offers, you will see this message displayed:

Once you select a participating retailer, you will see a list of products available to scan for Points. Select the offer and find the product on the shelves of the retailer and scan the barcode:

If you’ve scanned the correct product, you will get a message letting you know it was scanned successfully and the Points will be added to your account.
